About gabriela
she/they
Born under a dark balsamic moon and a major 12th house stellium, I feel the cosmos never left me much choice in walking the mystical path.
After my first tarot deck had ended up in my hands—the Aquarian Tarot, suitably—as a child, coupled with a voracious interest in mythology and ancient history, it was teenagehood when the stirrings of my mystical self finally began to blossom. I realized that I had already known what the ancients long understood: that our natural world is alive and teeming with magic and consciousness, speaking to as well as through us.
The word liminal holds great meaning for me. It’s as much a nod to my own life story, chart, and identity as it is a term that more generally embodies the realm of spirit and the mystic’s way. Nurturing an appreciation for the liminal is what allows us to pierce the illusory veil between the spiritual and the mundane, to honor the inherent complexities and contradictions of ourselves as not something to be repressed nor feared, but as sacred and authentic.
I maintain a trauma-informed perspective and center queer, neuroemergent, and other marginalized experiences and realities within my practice.
My work aims to weave together the wisdom and cosmologies of our ancestral past with the sacred archetypal stories, energies, and symbols living through you today to guide you along your own mythic journey.

Tarot, like all divinatory arts, comes to life through an intentional study and awareness of the greater symbolic threads interwoven between the universal and the personal, the inner and the outer, the above and below. Tarot, specifically, provides a mirror to the complex rhythms of our life journey through artistic and storied depiction, allowing us an archetypal narrative canvas from which we can trace patterns in our lives and draw insights to help us navigate our way through existence.
I work with tarot (and other card reading systems like oracles, Lenormand, cartomancy, etc.) as a sincere divination tool. Though tarot makes great use of the unconscious, my own approach toward tarot is not just psychological, as the unconscious is a cornerstone of our essential liminality, which I see as spiritual and mystical in nature. Tarot, to me, is yet another symbolic language that the Sacred universe uses to communicate with us, and it is from this understanding that I also commonly utilize the cards to connect with spirits and divinities.

Like tarot, astrology is a divinatory art; however, astrology’s roots stretch much further into the past, from the divination of astronomical omens in ancient Mesopotamia and eventually into the Hellenistic era where many principles of natal astrology were formed and widely practiced.
Your natal chart is a deeply unique energetic blueprint of yourself and the world around you–the celestial handwriting of the Divine that describes the many karmic patterns you will face and engage with in your present lifetime. By examining the heavenly omens that were present at the exact time and place of your birth, we may uncover and anticipate what fate has in store for you.
Astrology consultations often work as a kind of therapeutic space, facilitating an understanding of one’s unique strengths and challenges and providing us a larger view of our soul’s purpose through a cosmic language. We hold all the archetypes and symbols of the zodiac within us.

As a formal student of Hellenistic astrology, I incorporate several core facets of traditional ancient astrology into my practice. I use the Whole Sign house system, where every sign is assigned its own temple in the sky (no cusps/intercepted houses), traditional rulerships (no signs are ruled by the outers, aka Neptune, Uranus, or Pluto), the planetary joy schema, the principles of day/night sect, Egyptian terms/bounds, the faces/decans, “fixed” stars (where applicable/including parans), and a (healthy) engagement with the idea of fate and fortune. You are not just your sun sign–your sun may not even be the most prominent nor dominant planet in your chart!
Generally, I embrace a synthesis of traditional techniques with modern sensitivity and an acknowledgement of contemporary realities. I do not view traditional astrological texts and precepts as above criticism and necessary refinement, especially as many uphold the binary, cisheteropatriarchal views and values of their time and origin. As a living language, astrology must be allowed to evolve and expand beyond unsustainable, outdated definitions, and I believe we diviners and astrologers carry a sacred responsibility to limit the potential for harm and prioritize the facilitation of self-understanding over fear in our increasingly diverse world.

No—all readings and consults are performed on behalf of the querent (you) and any context/situation relevant. As you are the one who has consented to the reading and it is from your perspective I am reading from, I can only assist you in receiving clarity around your own life circumstances and the energies surrounding you.
On the other hand, if you wish to gift a reading from me to someone else, that would be much appreciated and I would be happy to do so!

For safety and ethical reasons, I tend to refrain from hard predictions regarding these areas with clients and instead offer guidance within the realms of potential and possibility. You may be better served consulting an astrologer proficient with these topics or in horary astrology (which I am not, at present). My readings are also NOT, nor will ever be, a substitute for the advice of a qualified professional for legal, financial, and medical matters. (Also, I would encourage you to stay wary of any diviner who claims to predict winning lottery numbers.)
In addition, I retain the right to cancel/refuse any reading, especially if I feel it is beyond my reasonable capabilities.
